December 20, 2013 (West Salem, WI) There’s a chill in the air and the ground may look white, but many short track racers in the upper Midwest are already thinking about one thing. The 2014 racing season. What will it take to finally win a feature, or two, or three or four?
The path to solving that puzzle begins at the annual Midwest Racers’ Expo. Held at a new location this year, Janesville, Wisconsin finds itself as the host city. The two day event will commence Friday, January 3rd at 3:00 p.m. in a retired Menards building located right next to the I-90 & 39 interstate.
“This event is a great opportunity for the short track racers in the upper Midwest to be a part of, and we are proud to continue providing this service to all of those involved in motorsports,” commented Trade Show Manager Dave Noelke. “Midwest Motorsports has been serving the short track racers for over 30 years, since the first auction was held in the early 1980’s. Drivers may have come and gone over those decades, but the need for speed and the products that provide it to the racers will always be there. A young crop of talent has been hitting the short tracks in recent years, and a visit to the Midwest Racers’ Expo is what they need to either get started, or take their racing to the next level,” concluded Noelke.
This year’s trade show will showcase a variety of products and services for the short track racer, including chassis builders, a radiator manufacturer, several different touring series, safety gear for the driver, car bodies and related products, a variety of tools for the hauler, suspension parts, engine builders, starters & alternators, machining, plus racing report magazines and in-car video systems to entertain your fans online.
In addition to the racing performance trade show, drivers can check out all the great items up for sale in the racers’ auction. The auction begins on Friday, January 3rd at 4:00 p.m., and on Saturday January 4th, at 9:00 a.m. The sale each day runs until the last consigned item is sold. The popular “C-Lots” (Race cars, tow vehicles, trailers, etc.) begin selling starting at Noon on Saturday. Those interested in selling their items are encouraged to call 815-703-0285 in advance for the best selling times.
The Midwest Racers’ Expo will be held January 3rd and 4th at the former Menards Building, at 2700 N. Pontiac Drive, Janesville, Wisconsin. The facility is conveniently held adjacent to I-39 & 90 exit 171. Plenty of free parking is available right on site.
