It’s never too late to think about next racing season, and this year’s Midwest Racers’ Expo is the perfect event to get it into gear. This year’s Expo will be held in a familiar location, at the same location that the event was held two years ago, in Delavan Wisconsin, but this time with additional space and use of the entire building complex.
Racers on a tight budget will be pleased to hear that there will be a special hotel rate offered during the event. “Again this year, we’re glad to work with the area hotels, so the attendees can spend a little more of their budget at the expo instead of on lodging,” commented Midwest Motorsports owner David Deery.
“Being a two day event, we not only offer our racers a discount on hotels, but we help the community of Delavan in filling hotel rooms for the weekend. It’s a win-win for everyone,” Deery continued. “The staff at the Super 8 Delavan were kind enough to offer a super discounted $50/night plus tax rate for two guests, and the Comfort Suites has extended a $95.99 rate. But note that there is a deadline for booking and you must mention the Expo in conjunction with booking,” concluded Deery.
For the Super 8 Delavan, callers must mention “Midwest Racers Expo” AND be reserved by December 4th, otherwise rack rate is $79 plus taxes on Friday & Saturday, and $66 on Wednesday and Thursday. Call the front desk at 262-728-1700. The Super 8 is located at 518 Borg Rd, Delavan, Wi 53115.

Racers interested in consigning race car parts, trailers or cars must contact Gregg McKarns at 815-703-0285 or via email at racersauction@yahoo.com prior to the sale, as consignment space has sold out in recent years. Racing-related Business owners interested in exhibiting at the Performance Trade Show can call 608-792-4846 or email midwestracersauction@yahoo.com to speak directly with Trade Show manager Dave Noelke. Consignments will be accepted on Wednesday January 4th, from 4pm until 9pm, and again on Thursday January 5th, from 11am until 7pm. Limited space is still available for both consignments and exhibits.
Expo doors open to the public for the Trade Show and auction item inspection at 3pm on Friday January 6th, and 8am on Saturday, January 7th. The auction begins promptly at 4pm Friday and 9am Saturday. Super Saturday includes a host of touring series meetings beginning at 10am, while the popular “C-Lots” (racecars, trailers and haulers) head to the auction ring starting at noon and will sell approximately every 15 minutes.
The Expo is located in the building located at 1849 Hobbs Drive, in Delavan, WI. The building is easily accessible, and very close to I-43 at Exit 21. There is plenty of FREE Parking on site.
