Winter may not exactly be racing season in the upper Midwest, but there is a two-day event that short track racers in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois look forward to each January.
It’s the Midwest Racers’ Expo, this year being held at the former Stock Building Supply complex, located in Delavan, Wisconsin.
“Being a two day event, we wanted to reach out to our attendees and offer hotel savings, so they can increase their auction spending budget,” commented David Deery of Midwest Motorsports. “The staff at the Delavan Comfort Suites were kind enough to offer a $69/night plus tax rate, discounted from the normal rate of $99,” concluded Deery.
Racers must call the front desk at 262-740-1000 and mention the code ‘Midwest Racers Expo’ to receive the special rate. The discount offer expires December 15th, so make hotel reservations now.

Consignments will be accepted on Wednesday December 31st from 4pm until 9pm and again on New Year’s Day, Thursday from 11am until 7pm.
Expo doors open to the Trade Show and auction item inspection at 3pm on Friday January 2nd, and 8am on Saturday, January 3rd. The auction begins promptly at 4pm Friday and 9am Saturday. Pre-Arranged series and track meetings begin at 10am, while the popular “C-Lots” (racecars, trailers and haulers) head to the auction ring starting at noon.
The Stock Building Supply location for this year’s Midwest Racers’ Expo is located at 1849 Hobbs Drive in Delavan, WI. The building is easily accessible, just off I-43 at Exit 21.
